In response to the 2019 Government Shutdown created by Donald Trump and his administration, my donna suggested that we write a song about the shutdown and release it now. This is that song.
S.H.U.T. stands for Shit Happens Under Trump. It also makes direct reference to the current government shutdown causing many Americans to suffer.
We used the famous Public Enemy " Shut Em Down " to rap over cause it's powerful and straight to the point. Salute to big bro Chuck D for always supporting the squad!
We pray that those most affected by the shutdown are blessed by this offering.
PS - I slide in a line about my poppa from another mother, Mumia Abu Jamal, who while currently held in prison, has just won a major appeal in the process to win his freedom. Put the pressure on the establishment y'all! We got two members of MOVE home after 40yrs in prison...Shout out to Mike Africa Sr. and his awesome wife Debbie Africa! Welcome home!
